After running in the cold ....

... my legs are really // jangley // and tight in odd places.

My body stretches out nicely and otherwise has no other extreme issues.. but after a winter run I am allllll over the place. After running in the cold I stumble and get what feels like 'rips' of tightness through my quads and calves and my intracostals too sometimes... but I'm fine.. it's just this weird ripping stuff. hah. :)
When I am done and back inside and making food or whatever, just cruising around, I have to put hella work into getting my legs 'back'.
Any fixes or tips? Is this just how being a runner in this part of the world (where you have an _actual_ winter. heh) feels like?
I do the requisite stretching before and after the run and I don't have any special needs or injuries.

Just figured I'd put it out there and check for any 'fixes' I might utilize. Thanks, yall.

Side note: I am from south Louisiana and am used to running either in extreme heat and humidity or in only very very mild winter chill.
I've been acclimating in the Bay Area for about a year and a half now, though. :) thnx again!

    Are you wearing enough clothes? Even though we're in "sunny California", I often run in the winter with heavy tights, an "Under Armor" top, gloves, and something to cover my ears.

      Yeah, I try to.
      I wear running pants the thin layer dryfit stuff and I wear a rash guard which seems to trap heat around my chest brilliantly and I wear ear muffs and gloves. I need the ear muffs I've learned,, they make ALL the difference in the WORLD! hah. :) And ummmm, well, thats about it... i assumed i was wearing enough. I don't let myself get EXORBITANTLY cold and after the first 1/2 mile I dont feel the weather anyway.....
