Hey, Everyone:
I somehow injured my foot when I went running last Thursday night and it doesn't seem to be improving--now the whole right calf of my leg hurts too. Does anyone have any recommendations for doctors in San Francisco who specialize in this sort of thing? Maybe some kind of orthopaedic/sports medicine specialist? I'd appreciate any advice you folks could offer on this...
Thanks!
Anita

Re: SF Doctor Recommendations? Massage therapy for pain relief.
Mon, April 25, 2005 - 12:20 PMI've helped a lot of people get out of pain. Many had been to MD's, DC's, PT's, acupuncturists, and other massage therapists without being helped. I'm a massage therapist, in practice since 1986.
See my listing at Tribe>services>health sanfrancisco.tribe.net/listin...ry/3306

Re: SF Doctor Recommendations? Massage therapy for pain relief.
Mon, April 25, 2005 - 6:06 PMThanks, Jordan! I already went to see a podiatrist on Friday, but I think it's important to share alternative resources too, so thanks for mentioning your services. I also want to recommend Dr. Jenny Sanders at the Financial District Foot & Ankle Center for anyone who's looking for a podiatrist specializing in sports medicine. She was absolutely fabulous to me and was very thorough about diagnosing my injury, as well as giving me some pointers on how to tell when your running shoes are worn down. I cannot praise her enough for getting me out of pain, and my foot is already on the mend! For anyone who's interested, you can visit the Center's website at fdfac.com/index.html

Re: SF Doctor Recommendations?
Mon, May 1, 2006 - 10:40 AMIf youre willing to travel, Amol Saxena at the Palo Alto Medical Clinic is excellent.
Colin Eakin, also there, is my orthopedic surgeon who worked wonders on my knee and calves.
There info is at my website, click on the "Best Meds" link.
